Welcome to the first edition of an ongoing series at RM Interiors – Employee Spotlight!
We can’t thank our hard working staff enough for their time, energy, and creativity every day. The company would not be where it is without them! For our first post, we got to chat with Jacob Packer, Regional Manager in our West Coast markets.
He shared his favorite work event (a crowd favorite at RM Interiors HQ), where he sees the future of flooring going, and a dish that everyone should try when they are in the Phoenix Valley:
What is your role at RM Interiors? What is your favorite part of your job?
My role for RM is Regional Manager West. Specifically, I oversee the Field Project Managers for the West Coast markets.
I’ve been in this position for just a few weeks now, and so far, my favorite part has been meeting the field team and spending time with them.
What is your favorite memory while working at RM Interiors?
My favorite memory was the Christmas party last year. The casino night was great!
Where do you see the trend in flooring going in the next year?
LVP has been getting more popular, especially with new build properties. The look, durability, and cost make it very desirable.
What do you think sets RM Interiors apart from other companies like us?
The strong field presence we have separates us from the competition. This gives us the ability to ensure every job is up to RMI standards.
What is a hidden gem in your city that everyone should check out?
I don’t want this secret to get out but… The fish tacos at The Bread and Honey House are the best I’ve ever had.
When it comes to flooring, do you prefer warm or cool tones?
Warm tones suit my personal style.
What do you wish more people knew about the flooring industry?
Flooring installation is an art! A lot of people can install flooring, but you have to be an artist to make flooring and trim-work beautiful.
